We know that Alaska's prisons do not effectively stop cycles of harm, help people deal with mental and behavioral health needs, or help people and communities thrive. So what would Alaska look like if we didn't use prisons as a cornerstone of our approach to community safety?
Anti-abortion politicians have accelerated attacks on the right to abortion and abortion access across the country. Alaskans’ abortion rights are protected by the state constitution, but that has not stopped continued attempts to erode them.

Alaska's prisons are overcrowded and are harmful to the nearly 5,000 people incarcerated in them and their loved ones. An alarming number of them are Alaska Native people who are also less likely to be granted parole.
This legislative session, we need help from our volunteers and supporters as we work to protect and expand our rights.
