'DEcarcerated' is an event hosted by the ACLU of Alaska to humanize individuals who have interacted with the criminal legal system, and to create space for those who are incarcerated to be part of the community. This evening hosts artists, storytellers, local food and music to spread a message of unity and rebellion of a system that requires rectification.
The theme of this year’s 'DEcarcerated' event is “We’re still here. Don't forget us," and will emphasize the disproportionate incarceration rate of Alaska Native people, and juveniles in the adult legal system.
Tickets: This event is ticketed and can be purchased ahead of time and at the door.
