Join the ACLU of Alaska's Queer and Trans Justice program for another Mat-Su Action Night! This event will cover how to give effective testimony during community meetings and public comment periods.
Giving testimony at regular meetings gives us an opportunity to talk to the people representing us, as well as our fellow community members. Attending and contributing to meetings and public comments is a great way to step up your community involvement and ensure that many voices are being heard.
Join us to learn common testimony rules and etiquette, how to summarize important points within time limits, and how to communicate those points effectively to those accepting testimony as well as to others listening.
This event is free and open to the public but RSVP is requested.
