Join the ACLU of Alaska’s Queer and Trans Justice team on Wednesday, April 24th to learn the basics of advocacy and work with fellow community members to build public action together. The evening will start with mingling, a short presentation, and a group discussion. After a break, we will come back together to put the skills we’ve learned into action, identifying a specific issue we want to work on and planning next steps for the group.
Note: There will be at least three short breaks throughout the night for snacks, talking, and processing. Feel free to bring snacks to share, but please label ingredients for those with sensitivities and allergies. We will also have tea and snacks on hand (including some healthy and some gluten-free options).
This event is free, but pre-registration is required.
