Helen Malley (she/her) is the ACLU of Alaska's Skadden Legal Fellow. Her fellowship project focuses on recognizing and advancing Alaskans' fundamental right to housing. She is continuously inspired by the ACLU of Alaska's dedication to ensuring a better future for all Alaskans and is honored to join them in this work. 

Helen has a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, where she focused on human rights law and advocacy. While in law school, Helen interned with ACLU's Human Rights Program and served as Student Director of the Lowenstein International Human Rights Clinic. She also served as a Notes & Comments Editor for the Yale Law Journal and published her student Note on movement lawyering with the Yale Journal of Law & Liberation. Prior to law school, Helen graduated summa cum laude from the University of Chicago with a bachelor's degree in history and human rights.

Outside of work, Helen enjoys baking, listening to live music, and reading contemporary fiction. As a newcomer to Alaska, she is also eager to try out new hobbies! She looks forward to exploring the trails and parks throughout the state.
